Good if you are Chinese, I'd avoid if you are not. When we left, saw that 95%+ of the place is Asian/Chinese and other non-Chinese/non-Asians had curiously been seated off "the main drag" so to speak. Only when I addressed him in proper Mandarin did he seem to "notice" me. When I tried to pay, the guy at the register basically ignored me standing in front of him for several minutes while he fidgeted and shuffled papers. But the food here was underwhelming and clearly, if you are not Chinese, that is if your entire party is not Chinese, expect to be greeted with a crocodile smile and treated poorly. I don't often leave negative feedback for anyone, I prefer to say nothing if nothing good can be said. Steam buns seem like the typical frozen variety you buy in any Asian market, of which there is one two levels down as a matter of fact. The Hong Kongborn dim sum parlornotable not only for its exceptional pork buns but also for being the world. The taro and pork dumplings should be called "taro and more taro" dumplings because I don't think there was any pork inside. They have a big selection of dim sum foods but tend to be stingy on meat dishes. Tea was weak and reminded me of dish water. Food (when it finally came by) was lukewarm. Table cloth had stains and hair, yes HUMAN HAIR, on it when we sat down so they moved us a table over. all the way to the window - as she possibly could clearly because we had two kids and we are an inter-racial family (I am caucasian, wife is Chinese). Hostess seated us as far away from everyone else - including the people pushing the Dim Sum carts. We were in here at 1030A on a Saturday morning (so early theĮscalators in the mall were not turned on yet) so it was not busy.
